Our Story
Hi there, and welcome!
I’m Michael MacManus — CEO and founder of Concerts in America LLC.
I’m a former classical guitarist with a Master’s degree in performance. However, a few years ago, a sudden and life-threatening spinal cord injury left me paralyzed from the chest down. While I have since made a miraculous recovery, that long path of rehabilitation shifted my focus solely to concert presenting—a way to stay connected to the music I love while supporting the artists who inspire me.
What began simply as a personal passion grew naturally over the years — first into a yearly guitar festival, then into a national concert series. For a decade, I balanced this alongside my performance and teaching career.
Today, I live in South Korea with my wife and our two young sons, and I maintain a busy year-round concert schedule across the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom.
Our Promise to You
We will only ever present the world’s greatest artists in concert. Our events are designed to be inspiring, unforgettable, and deeply human experiences.
We also work hard to break down barriers between performers and audiences. After every performance, you’ll always have the opportunity to meet the musicians, ask questions, and take photos.
Accessibility matters deeply to us. This is why we offer early-bird and group-booking discounts. We also provide complimentary companion tickets for patrons who require one.
