About the Artist
Kasia Smolarek — International Guitarist from Poland
Kasia Smolarek is a Polish classical guitarist who began playing at the age of eight, when her parents enrolled her in music school. She has since won more than 20 international prizes and has been invited to perform across Europe, South America and Australia.
Among her honours are recognitions rarely awarded to guitarists of her generation, at the Pittaluga competition in Italy and the Luis Sigall competition in Chile.
She studied at the Mozarteum University of Salzburg, performs on a handcrafted guitar by Jacek Łozak, and is part of the Savarez artist family.
Away from the stage, she loves learning languages, cooking and dancing salsa.
